Microcephaly Case Report: Major Breakthrough
Oct 11, 2024Case Report: Microcephaly Client (October 25th Update)
Introduction
This is an ongoing case report for a two-year-old Amish boy diagnosed with microcephaly, a rare genetic condition that results in an abnormally small head and developmental challenges, including motor delays, hyperactivity, speech difficulties, and overstimulation. His parents sought treatment at the New Earth Healing Center, where Bobbi Jo applied the Vibrational Fascia Release Technique (VFRT) and specifically focused on the Brain Drain protocol to alleviate fluid pressure in the head.
Initial Presentation
The boy presented with extreme hyperactivity, constant movement, and aggressive behaviors, including hitting his head and ears, which suggested he was experiencing pain and discomfort. He struggled with overstimulation to the point where even small household noises disrupted his sleep, and he required constant holding and supervision by his mother to complete daily tasks.
First Treatments
The initial VFRT treatments involved applying a weighted 128 Hz tuning fork directly to specific areas around the head and neck. Bobbi Jo focused on relieving fluid pressure through the Brain Drain protocol. The response was immediate: the boy's hyperactivity decreased significantly during the session and remained reduced for two days. His parents noticed that each subsequent treatment extended the relief period and reduced the frequency and intensity of his symptoms.
Breakthrough Treatment
In October, Bobbi Jo discovered that tissue underneath the occipital ridge was pulling on the occipital bone, deforming his head and causing significant pain. During the breakthrough treatment, she used the tuning fork to release these deeper tissues, and the effect was profound. The boy's behavior improved dramatically—he stopped hitting his head, throwing objects, and having outbursts.
New Developments (October 25th)
During the October 25th treatment, Bobbi Jo identified and released additional areas of tension deeper under the occipital ridge. The boy's parents reported that he had never returned to his original behavioral state since his first treatment, with marked improvements continuing to be observed. He began exhibiting behaviors and performing tasks consistent with his age, without showing signs of pain or discomfort between treatments.
A significant milestone occurred as the boy was leaving the office that day. While being held by his father, he turned to Bobbi Jo and said "bye." The look of shock on his father's face indicated that this was the first time the boy had spoken to anyone, marking a major milestone in his development. In addition, his eating habits have also changed—where he once refused food and had to be fed oatmeal, he now enjoys eating egg salad sandwiches (his favorite) and points to food that he wants from the kitchen cabinet.
The family has seen many firsts in the past few weeks. His mother, who previously had to hold him constantly while she completed household chores, can now let him play independently on the floor, allowing her to complete her tasks more easily. He no longer throws everything he grabs, demonstrating a newfound calmness.
Ongoing Plan
Currently, the boy receives weekly VFRT treatments as a preventive measure. The parents are determined to prevent any recurrence of the pain their son experienced previously, and they are pleased with his continued progress. They are considering extending the time between treatments in the future, depending on his ongoing condition.
Conclusion
The case of this young boy with microcephaly illustrates the potential impact of VFRT and the Brain Drain protocol in addressing severe developmental and neurological challenges. The improvements seen in his behavior, motor skills, and overall comfort are encouraging, providing hope for continued positive development and quality of life. The family’s commitment to maintaining these treatments demonstrates their confidence in VFRT as an effective therapeutic approach for their son.
